Site Revamp

It’s not a bad idea occasionally to review the site as though with a stranger’s eye and the first thing visitors see is that handsome bloke at the piano and his biography. Most visitors probably ignore it and go to the menu. Looking at it I wondered if I really needed separate menu tabs for “Grade 1”, “Scales” and “Arpeggios” so I’ve amalgamated all three separate items into one “Scales & Arpeggios”.

No videos have been deleted. If you were using the Grade 1 stuff, it is still all there but at the top of the Scales Menu. Arpeggios (and broken chords, of course) are on the same menu at the bottom.

If you’re looking for Grade 5 theory, it’s all still there (and I PROMISE to get more lessons there in the very near future) but under the simpler title of “Theory”. Long term students will know my educational philosophy of encouraging you to “get the whole picture” and I discovered from Tim, a new adult beginner student, that the heading “Grade 5 Theory” made it look as if he wasn’t allowed to go there! No part of this site is “Out of Bounds” to anyone! It is Theory for all students but with the focus of reaching Grade 5 for the ABRSM online examination.
